In Azeroth, I am a brutal killer who shows no mercy to my foes.
In RL, I am a 30-something high school science teacher. I live in a land without winter – located a little north of Orlando, FL. Its a lot like Stranglethorn Vale but without as much ganking.
Role Playing games have been part of my life since I was in high school. World of Warcraft has been part of my life for two years. Growing up on D&D, Zork and Bard’s Tale, I always dreamed of a game where the imagination and creativity of an RPG would be blended with the graphical power of computing. When EQ came out I was rabidly interested, but I had a new job and new child so I made the conscious decision to avoid the game in order to preserve my happy lifestyle. When WoW came out I was in a much more stable place in my life so I had the room to work this into my weekly (then daily) routine.
I have a beautiful wife who also plays WoW. I have three kids. The oldest (12) has a level 20 hunter and level 73 deatk knight. My extended family plays as well, including my two brothers, my sister-in-law, and even my mother.

Where abouts north of Orlando? I’m in Jacksonville =)
Much closer to Orlando… one of the suburbs of the city. I’m about 20-25 miles from Disney.
I don’t play WoW, but I enjoy reading your blog in my free time. Keep up the good work.
hye =)
nice blog
I live in Orlando, work in Maitland. I have a main, 80 Night Elf tank warrior. Still learning how to play… I really enjoyed your article. Thanks! I will try the dungeon finder soon, I have had cold feet about it. I would like the oppportunity to improve.
Hi I am new to wow and I enjoyed reading your website. It’s amazing how u can get your family to play wow. I have been want my gf to play with me and I find it rather difficult. Haha. Any suggestions on how to do it?
@Uyirefan
Good luck with that. lol
Does your gf like the fantasy genre? Does she like books about swords and magic, dragons and wizards? If not, then you may have no shot.
In my opinion, the easiest way is to play the game, and she will see it and be curious. If she watches you play and doesn’t get curious, then it may be a lost cause.
thank you so much iv only been playing a few weeks managed to get to 85 and people tryin to explaint caps etc just wouldnt sink in!!
Hey there – Just found your blog – I’ve been playing since vanilla but still feel like a noob, so I immediately identify with your blog name
That’s awesome how your family plays too – I wish I could get mine to or at least a single friend to play, but alas, I am alone in the world of Azeroth…well, except for other players. And my guildies.
