Patch 5.1 came out today, and brought with it the Brawler’s Guild. Shortly after, Blizzard announced that the invitations would hit the Black Market Auction House sometime within 24 hours.
Now, I certainly have the gold to get an invitation. The question is – is it worth it? I play the AH as a minigame, and I have a personal gold -making goal in sight. Do I really want to set myself back on the track to that goal in order to get a Brawler’s Guild invitation?
I think that the one motivation making me consider it is that I’d like to be able to give some invitations to my guildmates. I know that there are some who would like to do the Brawler’s Guild activities but don’t have the funds to compete for an invite.
I have less than 24 hours to make a decision.

In other news, I won’t be able to post about rogue raid strategies here for a bit. Due to a healer shortage in my guild, my initial foray into MoP raiding will be on my resto druid. Once I get a chance to raid on my rogue, I’ll post about the experience.

Do you want to be the first person to brawl, or do you want to wait for invitations to be more common and less expensive?
Blizzard _wants_ people to brawl. They are willing to have a slow ramp-up for “flavor”, but they won’t make it too slow, out of fear that people will lose interest and won’t brawl. I’m guessing that the invitation release rate is tuned so that invitations will be plentiful a month from now. You can compete for the frist glorious spot now, or you can save and wait for later spots next month…
